Highway Shootings In Detroit Connected, Cops Looking For Sedan
Three drivers were shot at early Thursday along I-94 and I-96. Police say a grey Chevy may have been involved.

DETROIT, MI – Police have linked three highway shootings, all which occurred early Thursday along Interstate 96. Police said the victims in the shootings, though, have no relationship with each other.
Michigan State Police reported Friday morning that no shootings occurred overnight. Police have stepped up with extra troopers on patrol along the stretch of highway.
They are looking for a grey or silver sedan that may have been involved in two of the three shootings, according to a spokesman. Police also are asking the public for help in the investigation, and anyone with information should call the state police at (313) 237-2450.

At about 3 a.m. on Thursday, Michigan State Police responded to shootings along the highway. As part of officers' investigation, they closed I-96 for about an hour, re-opening them before rush hour. The state police reported that a Northville man, on his way home from work, was driving west on I-96 near Davidson when another driver pulled alongside him, possibly in a silver 2010 Chevrolet Impala, and began shooting.
The Northville man was not injured, but pulled to the side of the highway and called police.

About the same time, another driver, a man from Chesterfield, was on his way to work heading west on Interstate 94 near Gratiot Avenue. In a similar scenario, another driver pulled alongside him and fired shots at him. The Chesterfield man was hit in the leg. He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
An Thursday afternoon, a third driver, from Detroit, went to the Michigan State Police and reported that he, too, was shot at while driving along I-96 near Livernois Avenue. He was not injured, but told police that his car had been hit by the gunman.
Police were able to recover a bullet from the man's car.
