METRO DETROIT, MI — With a rugged, swelling voice, rock legend Bob Seger was the reigning king of rock 'n' roll in Detroit and Ann Arbor before his 1976 breakthrough tune “Night Moves” rocketed him to stardom, putting him in league with The Eagles and Bruce Springsteen.

Many of Seger’s loyal fans may never have heard of “The Lonely One,” recorded in 1961 with a band called The Decibels.

It was only played on the radio once, The Detroit News reported, and only six copies of the record were ever made.
