'Jay And Silent Bob Strike Back' – At Detroit Film Fest
The "Clerks" stars made a big impression at last year's opening – hear what they had to say.

DETROIT, MI – Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes, the duo behind the "Jay and Silent Bob" characters in the comedy flicks "Clerks," "Dogma" and "Chasing Amy," will again open the Freep Film Fest in April. They will host their "Jay and Silent Bob Get Old" podcast at the Fillmore Detroit on April 10, the night before the opening of the festival, which runs April 11-15.
Tickets for the event go on sale Friday, Feb. 9, starting at 10 a.m. at the venue box office and Ticketmaster.com. Fans can purchase tickets early using password "freepfilmfest" during Thursday's presale from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
This year marks the third consecutive time that film director and actor Smith, who plays "Silent Bob," has been involved with the film festival. Smith co-hosted the "Fatman on Batman" podcast with Marc Bernardin as the official pre-party for the 2016 festival.

This is the fifth year for the film festival, which showcases films that are about or relevant to Detroit, the region and Michigan.
