Louis Tomlinson Set To Perform In Detroit: Tickets Available

DETROIT, MI — Louis Tomlinson's first solo tour is stopping in Detroit. The former One Direction singer will play The Fillmore on July 2, and tickets are now on sale.

The Fillmore has been a Detroit icon since 1925. It is located near the larger Fox Theatre in the Detroit Theatre District, making it a favorable venue for more intimate shows. Still, the Fillmore impresses patrons with a Grand Lobby and three levels of seating. It also hosts the Detroit Music Awards and can accommodate nearly 3,000 show goers.

Indeed, The Fillmore is used to hosting great talent, and Tomlinson is sure to live up to the hype. His "Louis Tomlinson World Tour 2020" comes on the heels of the singer's first solo album. His debut EP, "Walls," is slated for release January 31, 2020.

This isn't Tomlinson's first solo endeavor. After One Direction split in 2016, the singer released his debut single, "Just Hold On," which peaked at number two on the UK Singles Chart and was Certified Gold in the United States. The following year, he released "Back to You" with Bebe Rexha and "Miss You."

The pop prince is quite multitalented. Tomlinson owns his own record label, Triple Strings, and was even a player for the Doncaster Rovers soccer team in England. He has also had stints as a judge on "The X Factor," on which he was a former contestant.

Fans in Detroit should be ready for the British invasion to rise again when the album releases in January. You'll be sure to hear hits from the singer's new album, and maybe even a few One Direction favorites, such as, "What Makes You Beautiful," "Story of my Life" and "Best Song Ever."
