#MatchyMatchy: Tigers' Uniform 'D' Gets Makeover

You might have noticed the classic letter 'D' on the home jersey doesn't match the one on players' cap. It will this year.

DETROIT, MI – The Tigers have made an ever-so-slight change to their home uniforms for the 2018 campaign. Take a close look at the "D" on the home jerseys and the one on the players' caps.

For the 2018 season, the jersey "D" will change to match the "D" on the caps, announced the team on Thursday. On the 2017 jersey, that iconic, old-English "D" on the home jersey is slightly different than the one on the caps.

The change, the team said, was based on fan research, which "showed a resounding appeal" for the "D" on the cap. That same "D" on the hats has not changed for 50 years, the team said in its announcement posted to social media on Thursday.

While the change might seem hardly noticeable to some fans, it will be quite noticeable for others. For example this guy, who had last year's uniform "D" tatted to his forearm. Guess, that doesn't come with a guarantee, eh?

So, the bigger question: Will the revised "D" mean a few more "W's" at the end of the season? Tell us what you think in the comments below.
