Michigan Added To New York Coronavirus Quarantine List
Those traveling from Michigan to New York now must quarantine for 14 days upon arriving.
MICHIGAN — If you plan on traveling to New York, you're going to need to plan on a mandatory 14-day quarantine as well.
Michigan on Tuesday was one of three states added to New York's coronavirus quarantine list, which now includes 38 states. Ohio and Virginia also were added to the list Tuesday.
Residents in states included on the list are required to take a 14-day quarantine once arriving in New York.

The states on the quarantine list have either an area with a 10 percent or higher positivity rate over a seven-day rolling average or 10 per 100,000 residents over a seven-day rolling average.

Currently, Michigan has 89 daily cases per million people, 3.6 percent of tests are positive and there are 698 COVID-19 hospitalizations, the state said Tuesday. This is compared to the same point last week when we reported 81.6 daily cases per million people, 3.4 percent positivity and 586 hospitalizations for COVID-19.
On Tuesday, Michigan reported more than 1,000 new cases of the coronavirus, as the number of total confirmed cases in Michigan eclipsed 137,000.
