Is Michigan A Good State For Singles? Check Out What Researchers Say

Does Cupid like Michigan? Take a look at what a new study found.

DETROIT, MI — Is Michigan a good or bad state for singles? Researchers asked themselves that same question on a quest to map out what parts of the country are single-friendly.

Analysts from the personal finance website WalletHub.com rated 50 states and the District of Columbia on three major criteria: dating opportunities (e.g. number of single adults and online dating opportunities), dating economics (e.g. average beer/wine cost, movie ticket price), and romance/fun (e.g. music festivals and nightlife).

And the finding is that...Michigan is so-so for singles. The Great Lakes State placed around the middle at #27. The results showed that Michigan has a pretty good amount of dating opportunities, however it was mediocre in the dating economics area and say it ain't so, but scored very low in the romance/fun category.
