Michigan Will Allow Fans At High School Fall Games
Spectators will be allowed in a limited capacity for the final rounds of the football and girls volleyball tournaments.
MICHIGAN — Spectators will be allowed in a limited capacity for the final rounds of the Michigan High School Athletic Association Football and Girls Volleyball Tournaments, the Michigan High School Athletics Association announced Wednesday.
The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services said Wednesday that it would allow spectators at sporting events in limited numbers. Football teams will be given 125 tickets for games, while volleyball teams will receive 50 tickets per game, according to the MHSAA.
Spectators in different households must be spaced out by six feet and maintain distancing at all other times including arrival and departure from the game facility, according to a news release. They are also required to wear masks at all times.

Football restarts Saturday with 8-Player Semifinals and 11-Player Regional Finals, with championships for 8-player Jan. 16 and for 11-player Jan. 22-23 at sites to be announced.
Volleyball restarts Tuesday with Quarterfinals and concludes with Semifinals and Finals that weekend, Jan. 14-16, at Kellogg Arena in Battle Creek.

The Lower Peninsula Girls Swimming & Diving Finals will conclude Jan. 15-16 at three sites, but fans won't be allowed at those events those meets will include a much higher number of participants, according to the MHSAA.
