More Than 100,000 Without Power Monday Morning: DTE

The company said it has requested 400 additional linemen from its local and out of state partners to help restore power.

MICHIGAN — About 100,000 DTE customers were without power as of 8 a.m. Monday following a powerful storm that moved through southeast Michigan Sunday afternoon, according to DTE.

The energy company reported that more than 1,000 of its employees and contractor partners were working to secure downed wires and restore power.

"We know that being without power — especially in this extremely hot weather — is frustrating, so we've requested 400 additional linemen from our local and out of state partners, who will be arriving throughout the today to help assist with restoration efforts," the company said in a statement Monday morning.
