Ed retired from Commonwealth Edison after 30 years of dedicated service. He enjoyed traveling, fishing and lately, watching old westerns.

Edward James Naines

Age 67, of Morris, IL and formerly Lemont, IL, passed away peacefully, Monday, January 14, 2019, at his residence. Born in Chicago on March 19, 1951, he was the son of the late Edward and Margaret (nee Eyman) Naines.

Edward is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Joan (nee Raetz) Naines; three sons, Edward (Olga Yakusheva) Naines III, Christopher Naines and Steven (Kristin) Naines; seven grandchildren, Nadia and Vera Naines; Alysia (Caesar) Baeza, Kaylin Naines; Victoria, Zachary and Nicholas Naines; one great-grandson, Ezra Mateo Baeza. Many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Patricia (late Robert) Lilja and a niece, Cheryl.

Visitation for Ed Naines will be Friday, January 18, 2019, from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m., at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 1201 W. Route 6 at Deerpath Drive, Morris. Funeral services will begin Saturday morning, at 9:15 a.m., at the funeral home chapel to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 516 E. Jackson Street, Morris, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Fr. Ed Howe, CR officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Morris.
