Plea For Help: Dog Found Chained, In 'Unimaginable' Pain
His rescuers said it looked like a scene out of a horror flick: This dog had a carabiner through his neck attached to a 15-pound chain.
DETROIT, MI – The Detroit Dog Rescue is making a plea for Courage. Courage, the "sweetest dog," that is.
He was found with a carabiner hook and chain stuck through his neck, according to a Facebook post by the organization. The hook was attached to a 15-pound tow chain.
"Yes, the kind of chain used to tow cars," wrote the organization. "This is something you only see in horror films. The pain is unimaginable."

In addition to his injuries, Courage also has heart worm. The organization is seeking donations to help pay for Courage's treatment, estimated to cost more than $6,000.
"Courage deserves us," wrote the organization. "He deserves to wake up from a life that has been such a nightmare."
