Production Of New 2021 Ford Bronco Underway In Michigan

Production of the all-new 2021 Ford Bronco is underway at the Michigan Assembly Plant.

DETROIT — Production of the all-new 2021 Ford Bronco is underway at the Michigan Assembly Plant, and the two-door and first-ever four-door models are now on their way to Ford dealerships across America, Ford Motor Co. announced Tuesday morning.

The company said it has invested $750 million and added about 2,700 jobs at the plant to build the sixth-generation Bronco.

“We know the fans have been waiting for the Bronco – and we’re so excited to bring it back,” Ford Chief Marketing Officer Suzy Deering said. “And this Bronco is better than ever. We’re staying authentic to Bronco’s goes-over-any-terrain heritage and have leveraged the brand’s Built Wild innovative design, durability and advanced off-road capability to get the most out of every adventure in the wild.”

More than 125,000 Broncos orders have been placed, with a total of more than 190,000 reservations in the U.S. and Canada to date, the company said.

The Michigan Assembly Plant, previously known as the Michigan Truck Plant, began production of the original Ford Bronco in 1965. Bronco production ended in 1996. Ford produced more than 1.1 million Broncos in that 31-year span.
