Salt Truck Goes Boom, Out Go The Lights

Some 1,300 DTE customers felt the weather's wrath Tuesday evening.

DETROIT, MI – More than 1,300 west side residents lost electric to their homes after a snow plow apparently mowed over a utility pole, according to a media. The plow hit the pole near West Davison

West Davison and Lawton streets at about 5:30 p.m., and knocked out power to residents in the area for more than an hour, reported the Detroit News, citing comments from a DTE spokeswoman. Crews were to fix the pole over night.

It was unclear who or what municipality was running the snow plow, according to the report.
