See The Most-Searched TV Show Around The Holidays In Michigan
The most popular television shows around the end of the year vary by state — see which ones viewers in Michigan like the most.

MICHIGAN — When it comes to the holidays, people in our state have a favorite TV show they tune in every year. And for people in Michigan, our favorite show on Christmas Day is the same as our most-watched show on New Year's Eve, according to research of IMDb data performed by USDish, the cable company known more widely as the Dish Network.
The most-searched-for television show on both holidays in Michigan is "The Office," the data shows.
Nationally, "The Simpsons" is the most searched for on Christmas Day in 21 states. "The Office" holds that title in the next most states: 16.

The “It’s A Wonderful Life” episode of “House” is the single most popular episode watched on Dec. 25, according to the study.
"Friends" is the overwhelming favorite on New Year’s Eve. Exactly half the states picked the 1990s hit as the most-watched show on the final day of the year. In addition, "The Office" held strong in six states on New Year’s Eve.

But another 1990s favorite set in New York produced the top-viewed episode on New Year’s Eve — the “Seinfeld” episode titled “The Millennium.”
The findings only included episodes that originally aired in 1990 or more recently, have more than 1,500 IMDb votes and a rating of 7.5 or higher. Dish then determined the episode’s viewership using the TV Listings viewership archive.
Only a handful of states search for the same show on Christmas and New Year’s Eve.
