Stretch Of I-75 Closed In Detroit After Truck Hits Overpass
Southbound I-75 from Seven Mile Road to McNichols will be closed through late Thursday morning after a truck hit the overpass.
DETROIT — A stretch of southbound I-75 in Detroit will be closed through late Thursday morning after a truck hit an overpass causing damage that authorities said will require repair.
Southbound I-75 between Seven Mile to Six Mile/McNichols closed Wednesday evening and was expected to remain closed until sometime Thursday morning, Michigan Department of Transportation officials said Wednesday.
It is now estimated southbound I-75 will remain closed from 7 Mile Road to McNichols (6 Mile Road) until late morning, MDOT officials said Thursday morning.

HEADS UP-SB 75 will be closing soon from 7 Mile to 6 Mile/McNichols, as soon as trucks arrive to block traffic. Will remain closed till some time Thursday morning for bridge repair. Unknown what time SB 75 will reopen. May affect am rush hour.

Officials said drivers can use M-1 (Woodward Avenue) as an alternate in the meantime.
