Suspect In Mid-Michigan Murder In Custody, MSP Says
The man is accused of stabbing a person to death early Monday morning.
ISABELLA COUNTY, MI — A mid-Michigan murder suspect who police searched for most of Monday was taken into custody without incident early Tuesday morning, the Michigan State Police said.
Police arrested Isaiah Gary Gardenhire, 40, early Tuesday, but did not release additional information.
"Due to the ongoing nature of this investigation no further information is available at this time," MSP said on Twitter.

Police said they were searching for Gardenhire in connection with a deadly stabbing and sexual assault at a Union Township home in Isabella County around 3 a.m. Monday.

The victim of the crime was 13 years old, WLNS reported.
