Suspect Sought In Shooting Of Detroit Father, Son On Father's Day

DETROIT — Detroit police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a man accused of shooting a 33-year-old man and his 11-year-old son and another person Sunday on the city’s west side.

According to police, the three victims were parked and sitting in a Chevy Suburban on St. Mary’s, near Plymouth Road, around 8 a.m. Sunday when the driver of a black Chrysler 300 pulled up beside their vehicle. The suspect, said by police to be armed, exited the vehicle and shot at the victims’ vehicle several times.

All three victims were transported to a local hospital and are listed in stable condition.

Police described the suspect as of slim build with a dark brown complexion. He has short hair and was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, stone-washed jeans and black and white gym shoes, police said. He is considered armed and dangerous.

Police said there also is a second suspect but did not provide a description of them.
