Traffic Alert: MDOT To Tackle 'Worst' Pavement Along Highways
If the pavement is dry, you can expect to see road crews along highways fixing potholes, MDOT officials report.

With no snow falling and mostly dry roads on Tuesday, drivers can expect to see contracted road crews repairing "the worst of the pavement" along Interstate 696 and Interstate 75, and US Route 24, reported the Michigan Department of Transportation.
Work will occur during the morning and evening rush hours to get as much work completed as possible during dry weather, MDOT said. At times, only one lane will be open.
In Macomb County, crews will work on the eastbound lanes of I-696, from Dequindre Road to Mound Road, following this schedule:

- 7 a.m. - 9 a.m.: two right lanes open, two left closed
- 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.: one right lane open, three left closed
- 3 p.m. – 7 p.m.: two right lanes open, two left closed
In Oakland County, crews will work on the southbound lanes of I-75 from Coolidge Highway to Wattles Road, following this schedule:
- 7 a.m. - 7 p.m.: one right lane open, two left closed
And, along US 24 from Orchard Lake Road to Square Lake Road, following this schedule:
