The UAW strike of GM facilities looks like it's going to keep going for a while. The union says talks have taken "a turn for the worse."

DETROIT, MI —The United Auto Workers strike against General Motors may continue longer than expected. On Sunday, the union sent a note to members saying that talks with GM have taken "a turn for the worse."
The union says that GM rejected their latest proposal.
"You didn’t even have a professional courtesy to explain why you could not accept or why you rejected our package proposal for each item we addressed," UA VP Terry Dittes wrote to his counterpart at GM on Sunday.

"We expect the Company to respond and discuss the package proposal we presented yesterday. The law and basic decency require no less."
Dittes says that the company passed along what they called a new proposal on Sunday morning. He told members GM's offer "did nothing to advance a whole host of issues that are important to you and your families."
