Woman's Body Found Face Down In Street, Police Investigating

Officers are waiting for the medical examiner to rule on a cause of death.

DETROIT, MI – An unidentified woman was found face down near Campbell and Anthon streets early Wednesday morning, police report. A spokeswoman for the department said her body showed signs of trauma.

Emergency crews were called to the scene just before 4 a.m., and pronounced her dead. Police are waiting for the medical examiner to rule on her cause of death.

The spokeswoman said reports did not indicate if homicide was suspected in the woman's death or if weather was a factors. Officers are investigating the death.
