Baker College opens 2017 spring enrollment

Spring is in the air and Baker College's Jackson campus has begun enrolling students for spring quarter on-ground and online courses.

Enrollment for 2017 spring quarter is now open for new and returning students at Baker College’s Jackson campus, 2800 Springport Road. On-ground classes begin Monday, April 3; two sessions of online classes begin Thursday, March 30, and Thursday, May 11.

“Spring has always been associated with new growth, so spring quarter is an excellent time to enroll in classes that can lead to career growth,” said Steve Simpson, Ed.D., Baker College of Jackson president. “Baker College is committed to academic excellence in all of its degree programs, delivering on its mission to provide quality higher education and training that enables graduates to be successful throughout challenging and rewarding careers.”
Baker College has day, evening, weekend and online classes for degree and certificate programs in the areas of applied technology, business, education, engineering, health science, information technology and social science.
Among the newer bachelor’s programs are nursing and mechanical engineering.
Other bachelor’s, associate and certificate career programs at the Jackson campus include accounting, management, marketing, information systems, cyber defense, computer networking technology-Microsoft/Cisco options, information technology, mechanical technology, advanced manufacturing technology, computer numerical control (CNC) machinist, computer aided design, early childhood education, teacher preparation, health services administration, radiation therapy, health information technology, medical assistant, veterinary technology, law enforcement academy (police), criminal justice and human services.
Classes are offered on a quarter basis for 2017 spring and summer sessions and will transition to semesters beginning fall 2017.
Financial assistance is available to students, including scholarships, grants, low-interest loans and work-study programs.
