Charter Commission Election, Plus More Tips for the Week Ahead

Here are five pieces of information to help fuel your week in Dexter.

The election to select a 9 member Charter Commission to write a draft City Charter will be held on November 5, 2013. Affidavits of Identity and Nominating Petition forms are now available at the following locations:

2. In case you missed it

William Wendorf, currently a freshman at Dexter High School, is the only U.S. student to earn a spot as a finalist in the contest to design a tile for Livermorium (Lv) in the Interactive Periodic Table Project. The winner will be determined by a voting process.

3. Don't Miss Out

  • Relay for Life
The event is Saturday June 15, 2013 to Sunday June 16, 2013 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Monument Park in Dexter. The event will be open for the public to stop by and check it out.

4. Save the date

Acting Up Theater Presents: "Michigana Jones and the Readers of the Lost Book" for all ages. Following the performance, head down to Farmers Market and meet some live alligators, snakes and other reptiles. Register for our children's, teen or adult reading programs throughout the Library. Refreshments will be served. Everyone is welcome!

5. Last Chance

The Dexter Garden Club has organized a Garden Walk of spectacular gardens in and around Dexter for Saturday, June 15th.  Tickets are $10 per person.  The event runs from 10 am to 4 pm.
