• Charter Commission Election

The election to select a 9 member Charter Commission to write a draft City Charter will be held on November 5, 2013. Affidavits of Identity and Nominating Petition forms are now available at the following locations:

• Village of Dexter Offices - 8123 Main (2nd floor of the PNC Bank), Dexter, MI
• Scio Township Hall - Clerk's Office - 827 N. Zeeb, Ann Arbor, MI
• Webster Township Hall - Clerk's Office - 5665 Webster Church, Dexter, MI
• Washtenaw County Clerk's Office - 200 N. Main, Suite 120, Ann Arbor, MI

2. In case you missed it

• Dexter Student a Finalist in Periodic Table Design Contest

William Wendorf, currently a freshman at Dexter High School, is the only U.S. student to earn a spot as a finalist in the contest to design a tile for Livermorium (Lv) in the Interactive Periodic Table Project. The winner will be determined by a voting process.

• Dexter District Library's Summer Reading Program Kick-Off!

Acting Up Theater Presents: "Michigana Jones and the Readers of the Lost Book" for all ages. Following the performance, head down to Farmers Market and meet some live alligators, snakes and other reptiles. Register for our children's, teen or adult reading programs throughout the Library. Refreshments will be served. Everyone is welcome!
