Cross Country Girls Post Fast Times at the Jackson Invitational
The JV girls cross country team keeps rolling along with six more season records and one astonishing personal record at Ella Sharp Park.
Of the eleven junior varsity runners from Dexter on Friday, Megyn Scafasci led the day with a 40 second improvement on her previous time for a new season record (21:54). She was followed by fellow sophomore Abby McLean who also posted a season record (22:14). Freshman Emma Bradley came out of nowhere cutting a full two minutes off her previous time to run 23:09. Juniors Sabina Carty (23:28) and Sarah Read (23:41) shaved off just over a minute and just under a minute, respectively, from their previous season records; both for new low marks. Two additional season records were posted by Heather Brouwer and Emma Streetman. Also representing Dexter with strong performances at the Jackson Invitational were Grace Lopez, Kara O’Day, Lydia Savatsky, and Shannon O’Connor.
