Leaf Collection Update From City Of Dexter

Unfortunately, the leaf collection equipment had to be taken in for an emergency repair on Weds, Dec. 6, which caused a delay in collection.

December 6, 2019

Following the snow melt, leaf pick up resumed on Friday, November 22, 2019. It takes approximately 5-7 days to get through the entire City, depending on the size of the piles. Crews did work overtime the week of November 25th, in an attempt to catch up after the snow storm. Unfortunately, the equipment had to be taken in for an emergency repair on Wednesday, December 6th, which has caused a delay in collection. The equipment is expected to be repaired by either today or Monday. We apologize for the unexpected delay. Please make sure all leaves are raked to the street by Monday, so that collection can be completed the week of December 9th.
