Metro Hospitals Among 7 in Michigan with Nationally Ranked Specialties
U.S. News & World Report has issued its 2015-2016 ranking of the best hospitals in the country.

If you’re sick, the University of Michigan Hospitals and Health Centers and Royal Oak’s William Beaumont Hospital are among the best places in the country to get treatment, according to U.S. News & World Report’s new Best Hospitals ranking for 2015-2016.
Nearly 5,000 hospitals were considered for the ranking, and seven Michigan hospitals and their specialties were cited.
Eleven specialties of U-M Hospitals and Health Centers were nationally ranked, and Royal Oak’s Beaumont was ranked in nine specialties.

Also on the list with ranked specialties were Spectrum Health and Mercy Health St. Mary’s Hospital, both in Grand Rapids; Munson Medical Center in Traverse City; and Henry Ford Hospital and Harper University Hospital, both in Detroit. Each was ranked in one specialty.

In the Metro Detroit area, ranked hospitals were:
- U-M Hospitals and Health Centers (No. 1)
- Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak (No. 2)
- Henry Ford Hospital (No. 3)
- Harper University Hospital (No. 4)
- Beaumont Hospital in Troy (No. 5)
- St. Joseph Mercy Oakland in Pontiac (No. 6)
- Sinai-Grace Hospital in Detroit (No. 7)
- Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital (No. 8)
- Beaumont Hospital in Grosse Pointe (No. 9)
- Providence Hospital in Southfiled (No. 10)
- St. John Hospital and Medical Center n Detroit (No. 11)
- DMC Detroit Medical Center in Detroit (No. 12)
- Oakwood Hospital and Medical Center in Dearborn (No. 13)
