Mother And Son Face Embezzlement Charge
Pair Allegedly Took Over $100,000 From Dexter Firm

Chelsea area residents Colleen Walters, 64, and her son Leon Walters, 31, are facing trial on embezzlement charges. The Michigan State Police allege that the pair stole $136,000 from a Dexter-area excavating firm over a period of years.
Lt. Mario Gonzales of the Michigan State Police told mLive that the pair used company credit cards issued to Excavators Inc. to execute the scheme. Colleen Walters, a secretary in the company, and Leon Walters, a laborer there, allegedly began embezzling from their employer in 2014. The mother and son are currently free on bond.
