Paul McCartney to Play Detroit Oct. 21: How to Get Tickets

The ex-Beatle added five North American shows to his "Out There" tour.

It’s official.

Sir Paul McCartney will bring his “Out There” tour to the Joe Louis Arena on Oct. 21.

The Detroit performance was one of five new North American tour dates confirmed by the former Beatle. He last appeared in Detroit four years ago at Comerica Park.

Other newly added concerts are:

  • Oct. 13: Columbus, OH, Nationwide Arena
  • Oct. 15: State College, PA, Bryce Jordan Center
  • Oct. 17: Toronto, Canada, Air Canada Centre
  • Oct. 22: Buffalo, NY, First Niagara Center

Tickets to the general public go on sale at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 31, with seats starting at $29.50. Tickets for the best seats in the house are $253. They may be purchased via Ticketmaster, or at the box offices of Joe Louis Arena or Fox Theater.

American Express cardholders will have access to tickets from 10 a.m. Thursday through 10 p.m. Sunday.

Fans registered with PaulMcCartney.com by 8 a.m. EDT Thursday, Aug. 27. will be able to purchase pre-sale tickets for concerts in Detroit, Columbus, State College and Buffalo through the website. By registering, they’ll also be eligible for free audio downloads, GIFs and puzzles, and other perks.

Tickets for the Toronto show go on sale at 11 a.m. EDT on Friday, Aug. 28. American Express cardholders can purchase tickets beginning at 10 a.m. today (Tuesday, Aug. 25).

Set lists for the “Out There” tour, which kicked off in 2013, have been heavy with Beatles material.
