Salvation Army of Washtenaw County Hosts Kettle Bell Kick Off
Laith al Saadi kicks of Season of Giving for Salvation Army of Washtenaw County

ANN ARBOR, MI – The Salvation Army of Washtenaw County kicked off their season of giving at Briarwood Mall on Friday, November 10. The afternoon included music by local Voice finalist Laith al Saadi as well as other live performances from Jim King, and jazz musicians Isis Damil and Zion Israel.
The bell ringing season runs through Christmas Eve and the funds raised help people in Washtenaw County who are in need throughout the year.
In addition to the iconic red kettle campaign, the Angel Tree is a unique holiday assistance program that connects people in the community with a local child in need.
Major Kris Wood, Washtenaw County Salvation Army Coordinator explained that money raised helps anyone in need not only put food on the table and presents under the tree, but also allows them opportunities to start building a better life.
Individuals and groups can volunteer to be a bell ringer at any one of the many indoor and outdoor locations around Washtenaw County. The two hour time slots can be scheduled at RegisterToRing.com.
