Unforgettable Kettle Kick Off Featuring Laith al Saadi

The Salvation Army of Washtenaw County will partner with Briarwood Mall on Friday, November 10th to host a free, festive musical event that will include a special performance from local Voice finalist Laith al Saadi. This #unforgettable kick of to the holiday season begins at 11am in the mall's Center Court and will feature other live performances from pianist Jim King, as well as Detroit jazz musicians Isis Damil and Zion Israel.

Washtenaw County Salvation Army Coordinator Major Kris Wood will be on hand to discuss goals for the 2017 Season of Giving Campaign. In addition to the iconic Red Kettle Campaign, their Angel Tree program allows community members to select an angel tag with a local child's age, gender, size and suggested items. All of the holiday programs are designed to make Christmas more merry for all local, less fortunate families and children.
