University of Michigan Hospitals and Health Centers Ranked Top in State

The University of Michigan Hospitals and Health Centers did not make this years list of top hospital in the nation, as it has before, but the health system did rank number one in Michigan, according to U.S. News & World Report.

The rankings are based on a number of factors, including patient survival rates, patient safety and nurse staffing.

The top ten hospital in the state, according to U.S. News & World Report, are:

1. University of Michigan Hospitals and Health Centers in Ann Arbor
2. Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak
3. DMC Harper University Hospital in Detroit
4. Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit
5. Beaumont Hospital in Troy
6. Oakwood Hospital and Medical Center in Dearborn
7. Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital in Commerce Twp. (tie)
7. DMC Sinai-Grace Hospital in Detroit (tie)
9. Henry Ford Hospital in Wyandotte (tie)
9. St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor (tie)
