Make It Up As We Go is co-produced by Audio Up Media and iHeartMedia, and is exclusively presented by Unilever's Knorr and Magnum brands. This podcast follows the story of an aspiring young songwriter, played by Scarlett Burke, and her pursuits to make a name for herself in the music industry. Encountering a number of characters along the way, including legendary Nashville producer Van Tyler (played by Billy Bob Thornton), and the voice of country radio, Bobby Bones (playing himself). Make It Up As We Go unravels Charlotte’s own personal journey navigating the writer rooms of Nashville, which is where the stories are told, songs are born, and in turn - finding her own voice along the way.

Episode 1 Description:

Nashville producer Elliot Lieberman discovers Charlotte and her boyfriend, guitar player Davis Gabbert, at The Golden Light in Amarillo, TX and invites them to Nashville to test out their songwriting legs. After a cross-country drive and a night of no sleep in their new dump of a duplex, Charlotte and Davis land a writing session with well-known Nashville songwriter Marshall Tracy.

After a disastrous first writing room session, the duo must confront the odds of their music dreams becoming a reality. Charlotte's talent begins to outshine Davis. She's given a choice to write without him or go back to Amarillo. Jealousy and doubt plague the couple.
