Best & Worst Cities For Singles

About three-in-ten U.S. adults (31%) say they are single – that is, not married, living with a partner or in a committed romantic relationship. Majorities of singles in the 18-to-29 and 30-to-49 age groups are interested in a relationship or dates.

In order to determine the best cities for singles, MyDatingAdviser.com compared 150 of the most populated U.S. cities across four key dimensions: 1) Population Attributes, 2) Romance, 3) Quality of Life, and 4) Affordability.

Main Findings

Highlights Best City vs. Worst City

Tallahassee, Florida has the highest percentage of singles and Myrtle Beach has the lowest percentage of singles.

Boulder, Colorado has the highest wellbeing while Flint Michigan has the lowest wellbeing.

The highest marriage rate is found in Reno, Nevada but Corpus Christi, Texas has the lowest marriage rate.

McAllen, Texas has the lowest meal cost for two while Santa Barbara, California has the highest for dinner for two.
