With more than 78 million Americans enrolled in Medicaid/CHIP for government-assisted health insurance, I thought your audience would be curious to know the best and worst states for healthcare for low-income individuals, according to a HealthCareInsider.com study.

In order to determine the best and worst states for low-income healthcare, HealthCareInsidercompared the 50 states and the District of Columbia across three key categories: Cost, Access, Quality.

They evaluated those categories using 13 relevant metrics and found Conn. N.Y. and Calif. to offer some of the best low-income healthcare and S.D., Okla, and Ga. to offer the worst.
