Cities of Farmington and Farmington Hills Join with Beaumont Health for COVID-19 Town Hall
On Monday, February 1, 2021 from 7 to 8 p.m., the Cities of Farmington Hills and Farmington will join with Beaumont Health to present a COVID-19 Town Hall. The virtual event will take place via Zoom and will also be broadcast on community cable TV and YouTube channels.
Panelists will provide an overview of COVID-19 in the community and will offer an update on the status of vaccinations in Oakland County. Panel guests will include Farmington Hills Fire Chief Jon Unruh; Farmington Public Safety Director Ted Warthman; Beaumont, Farmington Hills Hospital President David Claeys; Beaumont, Farmington Hills Chief Medical Officer Dr. Michael Rebock; and Beaumont Infectious Diseases specialist Dr. Wiley Fan.
Moderator Lauren Turner, from the City of Farmington Hills Video Division, will lead the discussion. Time will also be allotted for questions from the public via email. The panel of experts will discuss the safety and efficacy of the vaccines, vaccine availability and distribution, and current concerns about new COVID-19 variants. In addition, panelists will share how COVID-19 has impacted local first responders and medical staff members.
