The City of Farmington is currently accepting applications for the position of Public Safety Officer. The City of Farmington is a 2.7 square mile city located northwest of the City of Detroit. The department consists of 23 sworn officers who are all cross trained in police, fire and emergency medical response. Qualified applicants will have attained a minimum of an associate’s degree or its equivalent in credit hours if pursuing higher education. Preference will be given to those applicants who are MCOLES Certified/ Certifiable, have obtained Michigan Fire Fighter I and II certification, and are certified as a Medical First Responder or higher medical training.
