Costick Center Becomes Warming Center During Dangerous Cold

The center on Middlebelt Road will be open to residents and non-residents from 5:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Jan. 28 and 29.

The Costick Center in Farmington Hills will be open 5:30 a.m.-11 p.m. on Jan. 28 and 29, for anyone who needs a warm place to go as temperatures drop to dangerous lows. 

According to the National Weather Service, Monday night's low will drop to -7, and Tuesday's high will reach only a few degrees above zero. Wind chills are expected to drop to 30-35 degrees below zero. 

The center, open to residents and non-residents alike, is located at 28600 W. 11 Mile Rd. For more information, call 248-473-1800, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
