Farmington United Gymnastics Places Third at State Competition

Grand Ledge won first place for the sixth consecutive year.

The Farmington United gymnastics team won third place in the state competition Friday.

Grand Ledge won the state title for the sixth year in a row with a total score of 149.350. Canton followed in second place with a total score of 145.750, and Farmington came in third with a score of 141.475.

According to the MHSAA, Farmington qualified for the state competition by winning its regional competition on March 2 with a score of 142.950. The team is open to athletes from Farmington, North Farmington and Harrison high schools.
