Farmington Hills Welcomes New Officer
Mario Vekic is sworn in as a new officer in the Farmington Hills Police Department.
Farmington Hills Police announced the hiring of a new officer Tuesday. Chief Charles Nebus says the department is pleased to welcome Mario Vekic as a new officer with the Department. Vekic celebrated his new position along with friends and family when he was sworn in during a Feb. 5 ceremony at the Farmington Hills Police Department.
Vekic began his law enforcement career after graduating from the Detroit Police Academy in July 2017 and then serving with the Detroit Police Department. Vekic has bachelors and masters degrees in criminal justice from Wayne State University, and is currently assigned to Farmington Hills Police’s patrol division as part of his field training.
