Grand Traverse Police Investigating Farmington Man’s Death

Drugs are suspected in the death of a Farmington Hills man in Grand Traverse on Feb. 6.

Grand Traverse Police are seeking answers in the death of a Farmington Hills man whose body was found near a boat launch on Green Lake Feb. 6. Marc Ruben, 62, was declared dead at the scene. Ruben’s body did not show evidence of trauma during an autopsy. Michigan State Troopers say narcotics may have played a part in the death, but won’t be able to say for certain til the toxicology report is complete.

Ruben was found around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 6 by a group of men who’d been ice fishing on Green Lake. They found the body while accessing the boat ramp and called first responders. While state troopers were managing the death investigation, the Grand Traverse County Sheriff's office were dispatched for a medical emergency at the home of a woman who’d been with Ruben earlier Feb. 6. She was arrested on charges not related to Ruben’s death, police say.
