National Burrito Day 2021
Free food, deals and more for National Burrito Day, April 1st

As suggested by its name, National Burrito Day is a day for people to celebrate by eating burritos. The earliest mention of the burrito can be dated back to 1895. Translating to “little donkey” in Spanish, the original Mexican dish was made with meat and other ingredients that were rolled inside of a corn tortilla. (Unfortunately, the more folklore version of the burrito origin isn’t true: that a food cart vendor, whose cart was pulled by a donkey, realized he could keep his food warm by wrapping them in flour tortillas.) The burrito quickly grew in popularity in cities all around Mexico, specifically Guerrero and Guanajuato.
With spring underway and April right around the corner, this year, you can expect to see food specials at places like Chipotle and Del Taco. Here are the National Burrito Day deals for 2021.
