National Pet Month Keep Your Pets Safe & Happy
Kristen Levine The Wizard of Paws One of the Nation's TOP Pet Experts Shares TiP & Tricks for National Pet Month

National Pet Month is a celebration of the benefits that pets bring into people’s lives and vice versa. It is observed annually in the US in May and during the Month of April in the United Kingdom.
“National Pet month is important because pets offer us so many benefits that I think sometimes we take for granted,” said Kristen Levine, one of the nation’s top pet experts and author of Pampered Pets On A Budget. “For example they lower our blood pressure, they reduce stress and they are great and loyal companions. The whole idea of National Pet month is to spend more quality time with your pet A great way to do that is from Petmate. They have this great new toy called the Chuckit Ringchaser. It is a launcher toy that tosses a ring and your dog chases the ring that bounces all-over. They get excited chasing the ring. The cool thing is it is designed for slobber free pickup. Petmate makes great interactive toys and for cats as well.”
“Besides playing with our pets we love to treat our pets and Milk-Bone has come out with a new Milk-Bone puffs treat,” said Levine. “It’s a line of crunchy lightly textured treats that come in yummy flavors like bacon & peanut butter, and cheddar. Your dog will love them because they are crunchy and super favorable. As a pet parent you will like them because they only have four to ten calories a piece depending on which size treat you give them.”

We all love our pets or thinking about getting one but the words pet messes have the happy smile of having a loving and loyal pet turn upside down. “If you’re worried about pet messes in your home Mohawk Flooring now makes carpet, luxury vinyl and wood,” said Levine. “These are designed for people who love their pets but want solutions for those occasional pet messes.”
Celebrate National Pet Month. “Pet charities are working with limited funding and usually with limited staff,” said Levine. This is a great month to support them by either by adopting a pet, volunteer your time or making a donation.
