Refresh Your Home This Spring with DIY Projects

Home Improvement TV Host & DIY Star Anthony Carrino Shares Innovative Products & NEW Methods to Improve your Home on a Budget

Warmer days and shorter nights often inspire people to finally begin those DIY home projects. According to the results of HomeAdvisor’s 2017 True Cost Survey homeowners tackled more home improvement projects from February 2016 through February 2017 than they did from February 2015 through February 2016. What’s more, they spent an average of roughly $1,850 more on home improvement projects. Millennials are the leaders when it comes to DIY.

“No matter what project that you have whether big or small if you take the time to plan it up front it is going to go much easier getting through that whole process, said Anthony Carrino, host of HGTV’s Kitchen Cousins.

“The kitchen is a place to make a big statement in a home is with flooring,” said Carrino. A beautiful floor can transform a home, and you’ve got to see how Tarkett’s next-generation flooring withstands the rigors of modern life. Tarkett is known for making high-quality home flooring that is super durable and easy to install. Their latest ProGen collection gives you the look of real hardwood, but can be installed in any room, including your three-season room, kitchen, bathroom, or even basements that see an occasional puddle. Transcend™ SureSet™ is surely for the DIY newbie. It has a preinstalled adhesive on the back of it and it’s a releasable adhesive. A releasable adhesives means this stuff can be picked back up and put down up to 10 different times and that adhesion is going to be just as good as time number one. This means if you don’t like the lay out or you messed it up you can fix it you truly can’t make a mistake.”

Tired of the outside of your house? “When you go to the outside you have to start with the lawn. It’s been lying there dominate all winter long and it’s going to need some TLC<” said Carrino. You can’t get into the lawn unless your mower is in good working order. Go through all the maintenance on the machine, make sure the blades are nice and sharp but more so than that mowing technology has come a long way in the last five years. If you’re in the market for a new mower I highly recommend something powered by Briggs & Stratton. They have a just check and add system you literally never have to change your oil again. If your garage is over flowing they have a Mow N’ Stow that allows the mower to fold up really small it just takes a corner of space.”
