Spring Spruce Up
Lifestyle expert, Tara Aronson, shares some of her favorite tips on getting your home ready for the warmer weather

Spring is the time of year where birds return to chirp, the grass is becoming greener, flower bloom and baby animals can be seen frolicking in the yard. But another part of spring is getting our home ready to welcome the sunshine and fresh air and remove winter dusty and stale gloom.
Did you know 91 percent of Americans and 96 percent of Millennials engage in spring cleaning, with 76 percent of the population participating each year. Six percent of the population never spring clean, according to 2018 ACI National Cleaning Survey. Millennials (41%) and Parents (34%) are the cohorts that deep clean most frequently. For Millennial parents, that percentage increases to 42%. Spring is by far the most popular season to deep clean homes. Six percent of the population and four percent of Millennials never deep clean their homes.
“With spring come warmer temperatures which mean more outdoor activities that can lead to stains,” said Lifestyle expert Tara Aronson. “My top tip is to spruce up your laundry process so you can get out, get active and focus doing what you love this season. Consider Maytag’s new front load washer and dryer with extra power button to help you tackle some of spring’s worst stains. Some stains are going to dissolve better in hot water and others in cold. Now you can tackle both in a single load.”

“A good place to start is by deep cleaning all those nooks and crannies of the cobwebs and dust that has settled there this season. New this year is the BLACK+DECKER dustbuster advanced clean+ with an extra-long crevasse tool so you can get in those hard places so much easier.”
