Summer Time Pet Care Tips
Award-winning animal advocate Jill Rappaport shares tips to keep pets safe and healthy and new pet survey results

As we get ready for some summer time fun making sure we have all the summer essentials on hand such as getting the patio furniture ready, cleaning the pool and make sure our backyard oasis looks beautiful and safe not only for our children but also the furry kids who love to play and romp outdoors.
“Use common sense in the summer and if you have a child do for your pet what you would do for your child,” said Award-winning animal advocate Jill Rappaport. “You wouldn’t leave your child alone in a hot care. You wouldn’t leave your child in the backyard unattended or by a pool unattended. You want to make sure they have sunscreen on and their feet and paws are protected from heat. The other thing I tell people your backyard is beautiful and safe you think it is but there can be deadly plants out there. People don’t even realize there are certain plants where if they take on bite they can die. Know your environment know where they are going, know what they can pick up in their mouths and make sure you’re protecting them.”
“It’s great that now we can with this filter feature from Xfinity the pet camera is wonderful because we can see things we may not know about our own pets and we can also monitor them and make sure they are safe.”
