You've heard of weather you can wear? Humid Memorial Day Weekend is ahead. Did someone mention a pool party? Or will thunderstorms ruin it?

Summer-like weather in Metro Detroit is expected to last through the Memorial Day Weekend, though picnickers and partiers may have to dodge a few rain showers.

A warm, humid air mass has settled over the area, and that could make temperatures in mid 80s — considered above normal even in the hottest part of the summer, AccuWeather.com meteorologist Brian Lada says — feel like the sticky 90s.

Usually, temperatures are in the 70s at this time of year, Lada said.

Yes, but you’ll need to plan around thunderstorms every afternoon, Lada says. The warm, humid air are the main ingredients in thunderstorms, but Lada said they will be spotty in nature and aren’t likely to produce severe weather.

Just be ready to grab the ribs when you head inside.

Here’s what to expect through Monday:

Thursday: Overnight temperatures of around 66 expected after a daytime high around 84.

Friday: High of 85 with clouds, sunshine and chances for thunderstorms and an overnight low around 67.

Saturday: Sunny, some spotty thunderstorms; daytime high of 86 and overnight low of 67.

Sunday: Sunny with a high of 83 and a thunderstorm possible; daytime high of 83 and overnight low of 64.

Monday: Mostly sunny and warm, with a daytime high of 83 and a low of 61.
