2 Arrested In Ferndale, Oak Park, Madison Heights 7-Eleven Robberies
In Ferndale, one of the suspects displayed a gun while demanding the clerk turn over all the money in the register, police said.

FERNDALE, MI — Police have arrested two brothers, ages 25 and 17, in a string of robberies Tuesday at suburban 7-Eleven stores, Ferndale Police Det. Lt. William J. Wilson said Wednesday. The robberies occurred in Ferndale, Oak Park and Madison Heights, he said.
In the Ferndale convenience store robbery, which occurred around 3 p.m. at 1040 W. Nine Mile Road, one of the suspects displayed a black handgun, Wilson said. Both suspects are in the custody of the Madison Heights Police Department pending arraignment, which is expected to take place Thursday.
Detectives from the three jurisdictions are pooling information to prepare a case for the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office.

It’s unclear how much money the pair got away with, police said. In the Ferndale robbery, the cashier turned over all the money from the register after the suspect displayed the handgun, Wilson said.
