Angel Kisses Holds Annual Benefit Feb. 24 At Woodward Ave Brewers

Angel Kisses hosts its annual benefit Saturday night at Woodward Avenue Brewers in Ferndale.

Angel Kisses, a Ferndale group aimed at helping parents who’ve lost newborns, will host a benefit Saturday, Feb. 24. The group hopes to raise money for local bereavement organizations. Activities scheduled for the event at Woodward Avenue Brewers includes 50/50 raffles, a silent auction and jar raffles. Woodward Avenue Brewers will also donate 20% of food and beverage sales to Angel Kisses.

The group, founded in 2009 by three women who had experienced recent late-term pregnancy losses, initially raised $5800 for Beaumont Hospital’s A Child Remembered Program, and decided to make the fund drive an annual campaign. Angel Kisses is now run entire by volunteers. Angel Kisses’ mission is “To fund Michigan-based programs that improve care available to families who experience perinatal loss, with a focus on babies delivered during the second or third trimester.” To date, Angel Kisses has raised over $160,000 for bereavement organizations in Michigan.

The benefit takes place Feb. 24 from noon to 6 p.m. at Woodward Avenue Brewers, 2646 Woodward Ave, Ferndale.
