'Bad Moms' Night Out Is Fun, But Also a Darned Good Cause

Kristin Bell, one of the stars of "Bad Moms," will give a personal welcome at the event, which raises money for Blessings in a Backpack.

FERNDALE, MI — Moms, you can relate to this, right?

Three overstressed, overworked moms decide to kick it up by blowing off their responsibilities and going off on a wild one. Of course, there's a clash with a rival mom. You know the type: that oh-so-perfect mom who doesn't want anyone to peel back the veneer of her seemingly perfect life.

That's the premise behind "Bad Moms," written and directed by John Lucas and Scott Moore and starring Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell, Jada Pinkett Smith, Kathryn Hahn and Christina Applegate.

And you can see a special showing at Ferndale Moms' Night Out while supporting a great cause — Blessings in a Backpack, which provides nutritionally balanced meals on weekends for students in Ferndale Public Schools' free and reduced lunch program, which is funded solely by donations.
