The Detroit Institute of Arts (DIA) is partnering with Oakland Community Health Network(OCHN) to host the 10th Annual Community Art Workshop

The Detroit Institute of Arts (DIA) is partnering with Oakland Community Health Network(OCHN) to host the 10th Annual Community Art Workshop, Tour, and Show. This free two-day workshop, available to Oakland County resident veterans, is designed to provide an opportunity for veterans to express through art.

“Many veterans share comradery through their unique life experiences,” said Veterans and Military Family Navigator of Oakland representative, Chaka McDonald. “This will be a great opportunity for Veterans to channel and explore their experiences together through the world of art.”

The workshop will be held Friday, September 14 and Friday, September 21. The event will include 4 hours of art creation time over the two day period. All skill levels are invited to participate as DIA staff will be available to assist in the creation process. Staff will also provide a private tour of the DIA on day one of the event to inspire creativity.
