Farbman Group to host Opportunity Zones Event

Southfield, Michigan-based Farbman Group, a leading full-service real estate company, announced today it will host an opportunity zones event on Wednesday, March 20 at 9 a.m. The event will be held at The Crofoot, located at 1 S Saginaw St in Pontiac, a designated opportunity zone. Farbman Group CEO Andrew V. Farbman made the announcement.

Part of the company’s C-Series events, partners of Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP (Baker Tilly), a nationally recognized, full-service accounting and advisory firm, will serve as the keynote speakers. During the event, they will discuss the nuances of opportunity zones and how they affect the real estate industry. Representatives from the City of Pontiac will also speak along with Oakland County Treasurer, Andy Meisner.

“Since the passage of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act in late 2017, opportunity zones have been a much-discussed topic, but we have recognized that there are some knowledge gaps regarding opportunity zones,” said Farbman. “As we continue to serve as a leader in the commercial real estate industry, we work on educating our clients on topics that have a significant effect on the industry such as the opportunity zones. We are excited to host an amazing panel of experts to share their experiences and knowledge on this topic.”
